Policies

Edmonton has everything it takes to become the best city in Canada. It just needs a leadership that will steer our resources and people in the right direction.

Recovery>

We need to get people back to work.

The core of a successful recovery plan is meaningful economic relief and job pathways for the most vulnerable Edmontonians. A plan for small businesses to reopen and stay open.

We need to:

  • End the aggressive taxation of businesses.

  • Cut of the red tape and strenuous permit process and time lines.

  • Reimagine how the City uses public space to give local businesses and art organizations a bigger platform in their communities.

  • Incentivize entrepreneurship by providing practical resources and training so that more Edmontonians are able to start a small business successfully.

City Governance>

Let’s make every cent count.

We need to:

  • Take a data-driven and metric focus approach that will make our city priorities clear to everyone, from the public to city management staff.

  • Award contracts that are performance based, not special interest based .

  • Eliminate rules that have no relationship to risk. City agencies need to spend their time delivering value and results to Edmontonian, not focused on unnecessary policies that do nothing to advance our city. Everytime a new rule is created, one needs to be eliminated.

  • Deliver Excellent basic services that meets the needs of Edmontonians.

Community>

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

We need to:

  • End the apathy cycle that we live on.

  • Use Community Leagues more effectively as the primary connection between the community and City Hall.

  • Facilitate and advocate for initiatives that help us to get involved in our community.

  • Expand programs to help equip our youth for a successful future.

  • Use seniors wealth of resources to help our next generation.
