UCP Beverly-Clareview Nomination Letter.

My fellow conservatives, we will come together on Dec 20, 2022, to nominate our next

conservative representative for the Beverly Clareview riding. Our community, and may I

even argue our nation, is at a crossroads between taking a path that promotes “wokeism”

over the traditional values that have made this land so choice. I also believe that by standing

united in our resolve we can do something about it.

I come ready to build consensus with all those in our community who share the values

of Work, Family, Friendship, Faith, and Freedom.

Work

The left would have us believe in scarcity, fear, and entitlement. They expect us to tell

our children we can no longer cope with our problems, and our standard of living is a

threat and our future will be one of sacrifice and few opportunities.

Friends, I utterly reject this view. And those who believe have no business leading our

community.

We need a rebirth of tradition and exceptionalism at every level of government,

community, and in our private lives as well. We should not be victims of today, but

masters of our destiny.

Our community was founded on the principle of work. Printing or producing more

money will not solve our inflationary and economic issues. This can only be achieved by

producing more work. We must free our employers and employees from unnecessary

taxation and overbearing restrictions.

I agree with the “left” that our natural resources are important, but only in the hands of

stewards who value their strategic importance. Our energy sector is vital and our

farmers and ranchers are the salt of the earth.

Family

No nation, land, or people can bypass and survive the sacred and divinely appointed role

of the family. It is our solemn responsibility to protect, promote and empower the

family wherever we can. Government can not replace the family, nor should it try.

My commitment to you is to be family-centric with one that respects the rights and

privileges of parents. We do have a responsibility to help persons with less-than-ideal

family situations, but the scope and level of prescriptiveness must be limited.

Friendship

As conservatives we have collectively failed, we have failed in being friends. I believe the

principles of conservatism lend themselves to being good friends, but we need to be much

more present. The “left” has outshone us in the community in this regard. As your

representative, I will rally our community to be more available, and helpful, and provide true

value.

Faith, Family, and Freedom.

The right to worship where and how we please is a cornerstone of our community. Our

land has been blessed with prosperity and Freedom because we have trusted in the

divine. As a woman of faith, it is my intention to protect these sacred privileges. Our

religious community is a blessing in our community, not a threat.

We are at an unprecedented time where the very moral fibre of our basic Freedoms are

being challenged all under the guise of protection and safety. Empowering our people to

make their own decisions and govern themselves will advance our society much more

than decisions made in the halls of government.

How will we win with Lana?

The “left” uses identity politics. As an educated immigrant woman, I deflate their

message and can bring it back to what matters most…real issues. We have a better

chance to win if we talk about real issues. I will also be in the best position to connect

with a huge voter block, mothers, and independent voters.

Call to Action

I request your vote in our upcoming vote to carry our party to success in this riding. For

more information please visit my website www.lanapalmer.org and I can arrange a

person in-home visit if you choose.

Sincerely,

Lana Palmer
